Interesting Names I Have Come Across!

These are all names of people that I have met or that I know. All these names are a bit unusual and have really caught my eye.

Girls:
Tanyella - This was the name of a very pretty, clever and talented girl who went to my school. I think it's very pretty and I imediately think of her when I hear it. Tanyella is Hebrew name meaning 'God is my judge'.

Tamsene (Tam-ZEEN) - This was the name of Tanyella's sister who was also very pretty. It is a beautiful name and it suited her vey well. I couldn't find any information about this name but the Tamsene I knew was part Jamaican so it could have Carabian origins.

Kelsa - I have a very good friend called Kelsa. I have never met any other Kelsas and I can't find any information about it. I think it may be made up but it doesn't sound too made up to me. I think of it as a grown-up version of Kelsey. I think it's pretty, sophisticated and interesting.

Fia - A friend of mine recently named her daughter Fia. I'm not sure if I like it though - it sounds like Fiona with the 'on' bit missed out so it seems incomplete. Fia is of Latin origin and means 'flame'.

Milla - Another of my friend's recently called her daughter Milla. It is of Latin origin and means 'rival' and 'emulating'. It is used in Scadanavian languages, English and German. Little Milla's mum is Norwegian and her dad is Scottish so I think this name is perfect for her.

Aurora - Another friend named her daughter Aurora. It is a Spanish name meaning 'dawn'. Aurora's parents are British but they live in Spain so I think this name is perfect, it will fit in with the names of her Spanish friends and it also sounds very pretty in English.

Graihagh (GREY-ah) - This is the name of a young girl I once met. The only thing I can find out about the name Graihagh is that it's probebly of Manx origin. I think it's very interesting and pretty.

Sherine - This name reminds me of someone very pretty and blonde because of the Sherine I knew. Sherine is a Persian name but I think it works well in English too.
